Frequently Asked Questions Q: What is the WeSave discount card? A: The WeSave discount card is a savings program offered to eligible state employees. The discount card allows eligible employees to save money on many everyday purchases from participating merchants. Q: Who can participate in the WeSave discount card program? A: At this time, state employees in full-time equivalent, temporary, temporary-grant, and time-limited positions are eligible to participate in the WeSave discount card program. Q: Can an eligible employee's family members use the WeSave discount card? A: Yes, spouses and children of eligible employees can use the WeSave discount card. Q: Is there a charge to eligible employees to participate in the WeSave discount card program? A: There is no cost for eligible employees to participate in this discount card program. Q: How do employees use their WeSave discount card after they receive it? A: Eligible Employees can activate their WeSave cards at wesave.com. Click on "Activate" link in the left hand side of the page. Complete the registration form. Your membership number is the barcode number located in the back of your WeSave card. Click "Activate" at the bottom. Now you are ready to search for merchants and start saving. Q: Will employees need to show a state identification or employee verification card to use the WeSave discount card? A: No. Just show the WeSave discount card and no additional identification is required. Q: Will the WeSave discount card expire? If so, how can I reactivate it? A:The WeSave discount card is valid from the date of the issue of the username and password. At the end of the one (1) year period, WeSave will send an email to card holders explaining the procedures for reactivating the card. Q: What happens if the WeSave discount card is lost or stolen? A: Contact WeSave Member Support at help@wesave.com or 1-866-987-2833 and speak with a membership consultant. Q: Where can eligible employees save with the WeSave discount card? A: After an eligible employee activates the WeSave card at www.wesave.com, he or she can immediately search for participating merchants. WeSave members can save on everyday purchases, such as cellular phone plans, dining at local restaurants, purchasing tires, and services at local drycleaners and florists. Q: Can I use my Wesave discount card in another state? A: Yes. WeSave has accounts with West Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina and are working on adding more to their list of participating states. Also, Wesave has contracts with several national vendors such as Verizon, Sprint, and Dell Computers. Please see their website for a list of all their vendors. Q: How do WeSave participants recommend a merchant to be included as a participating merchant in the WeSave discount card program? A: Visit the "Employee Suggestions" section at wesave.com. A WeSave representative will contact the vendor and provide them with the necessary information to become a participating WeSave merchant. Q: What do I do with the WeSave discount card if I leave state employment? A: Submit the WeSave discount card to your agency’s human resource office.
